The NoHo Neighborhood Council (NoHo NC) is an advisory board created by the Los Angeles City Charter (Article IX, Section 906) to provide improved access to government and make government more responsive to local needs in the NoHo community. The NoHo Neighborhood Council is an elected body of 22 stakeholders, who are diverse in opinion, background, interests, and experience. As an operating Board, our purpose is to interact with local neighborhood residents and City government, and present stakeholder’s interests at City Hall. We meet on the 2nd Monday of each month at East Valley Highschool. Our meetings tend to last no more than 3 hours. As an elected board member you must also join one of our several committees which also meet monthly. (usually not lasting more than 1.5 hours)
Dedicated members will also help with events. Members of the NoHo Neighborhood Council Board will usually spend on average 5 hours or more per month volunteering their time to our community.
